I think plant based psychedelics could be useful in treating PTSD and related disorders.
Brought to you by Pfizer?
I glow brighter than a lighthouse yo
No , by plants
But how can they do that versus talking about it in depth in a sober environment. How does something like a DMT trip stick with the body that much to bend that disfunctional line straight if you will.
I think the psychedelic plant treatment would be just one part of it , along with competent talk therapy. I have heard of people who take Ayuhuasca just once and are supposedly " cured " of PTSD ,drug addiction or crippling anxiety or depression , but idk how that plays out over the long term , 10+years say. Not saying it's impossible , but I have doubts about a one and done scenario.
I would say most things need a tune-up, including medicines. when I did psychedelics and ketamine when I was younger I remember the trips mostly but as far as the long-term effects of it changing my outlooks on things I would say that's not the case anymore. so to your point a tune up would be necessary maybe once every five years, something like that.
