Yeah it’s been an interesting twist to see those types of people morph from free loving hippies, to liberal tyrants rife with self censorship and the need to censor others for anything that offends their preferences. Had a falling out with a friend who is similar to what you’re describing. All I said was “gays like to ride bikes.” It completely triggered his vegan/woke/cult mind. He had a total meltdown and went on this rant about some faggot shit, unfortunately I don’t think we’re friends anymore. Probably for the better.
I have a friend like that. Kind of a retard but we usually talk about every other year. He freaked out because he thought I was in the January 6th riots. I thought that was kind of funny seeing that week I was actually at a hot spring. And I also told him I said you know we can be friends and think different politically. amazing how that works if you just put the effort into it. He didn't really know how to register that one. it is interesting though how liberals deal in absolutes. They just don't seem to have a gray area.
