taken in high doses is the problem? added to our water? what about in toothpaste and other dental products?

The water is a big one and more costly to avoid. The dental stuff is still detrimental but if you get fluoride-free toothpaste and only get the fluoride applications at the dentist I don't think it's a big deal.
