When tube tv's were the only option available, i could not eat anything crunchy while watching it because the picture would collapse to a single line across the middle of the screen horizontally. this problem disappeared when viewing non tube units like lcd or led. also would not happen on computer monitors. vibration of my scull while chewing?

Well your first mistake is eating corn nuts. My tube TV would need a period of time to warm up. You could feel the electricity run all around you and your body hair would stand up. I can only imagine the amount of x-rays I got from that thing as a kid.

Our TV was so bad that if somebody stood between you and the TV, you could see their skeleton.

Cook an egg on top and watch metal arc.
