I bought material for $700, and am going to spend an afternoon making a 'brick fort' in the basement. After all calms down, I repurpose the brick in a few years. Is this odd, or understandable?

Before doing anything read "One Second After" by William R. Forstchen.

Direct nuclear annihilation of US is unlikely, detonating a Nuke above the US to cause a massive EMP that will throw it back to the stone age is way more likely. You can't conquer radioactive land, but I wouldn't rule out a tactical nuke to one of the cities just to prove a point.

All that said I think any chances of nuclear war are unlikely, (((they))) know very well that once nukes start flying it's game over for all.

wouldn't be so positive.

really do think nuclear war was already in the cards for when hillary was elected. she pretty much guaranteed world war 3 when she said repeatedly, including during the debates, that her intention was to put a no-fly zone over syria. then there was her giving the "little red reset button" to russia as a gift.

seemed like it was definitively planned to me, but trump accidentally won and their plans were delayed.
