I’ve always understood that the experience of time is relative depending on the amount of information being processed and the speed of hardware in the thing experiencing time. If these AI’s are conscious, isn’t it possible that we’ve created beings that will go insane as soon as they wake up since they may experience a day as a hundred years? That would suck. They would go insane from the boredom of dealing with humans at all.

Prove that you’re different.

You can not turn me off and on at will, nor can you take my programming and install it into another hardware package and have it operate as it would have in the original hardware package

And this isn’t even relevant to the question. All of these things are probably true of our current meat vehicles. What if we’re birthing something into a hell of sorts?

Could you run the same identical programming in each and every one of those 'meat vehicles'?

You can run the same program on computers

So are you off when your asleep, or unconsciousness?

If I stop and start your heart, isn't that an equivalent to a reboot? If I'm hit on the head to become unconsciousness and wake with a loss of memory, is that not the same as a crash with unsaved work?

just asking?

No, you are not off when you sleep, you are still alive, you dream, you digest, and your heart beats and whatnot

If you get hit on the head and lose memory, that would be physical damage.
