Half of my bills still won't accept credit card as payment, planning on going back to the old ways with the folks here.

There will be no old ways. There will be a limited time cash can be used.

I'm aware and simply don't care, I won't be using that.

I guess your totally self sufficient now and have no need to spend money on anything at all.

I think that started in 2020 and has been ramped up recently. My best guess is they'll just quietly remove cash as an option under the guise of "there isn't any".

I had a friend figure out how many credit cards he would need to purchase a Tesla. I think the car was like 65k when he got it and so however many credit cards needed with the $5,000 limit he did. It's kind of funny.

Nah, he was a disaster of a human but knew how to game a ton of shit. I might have gotten some of the details wrong but he was a master at getting by by doing crazy manipulating money stuff.

Interesting. I tried to pay for my car with a rewards card that has no limit and the dealership wouldn't take credit cards at all. They said people try to reverse the charge later or claim their card was stolen.

I used a credit card to put 5K down on my van. I wanted the points. I tried to do the whole thing but the guy wouldn't let me. I don't see how they could do that reverse charge thing. Because you have to sign all those paperwork. And show documentation and stuff. So that guy was just being a shithead. And to be honest I bet you the reason also is he wants you to use their loans not your credit card. He wants the interest he doesn't want to give it to the credit card company. For my circumstance I told the guy I was buying the car with cash. So if he denied the credit card I just would have gotten the cash and given it to him instead in the form of a bankers check.
