Over the summer I bought my first smoker. Electric, under $200. Hard to hold Temps. If the outside air hits the mid 50s or windy, it's over. I don't want to spend money on one when this one works fine. What to do? Cut metal to fit the sides n top, pop rivet them on. Glue on ceramic tile? Lol, ideas man!

It sounds like your losing temp due to convection.

Anything that stops the wind should help.

Real thin metal. Sun out, no wind, holds temp. Sun in and out, A little breeze, it's all over.
