No. All Chinese shit. Tri-fuel just means LP, Natural Gas, and Gasoline. The use case for LP is a 500 gallon tank installed near the generator since LP doesn't expire like diesel and OMG gas. It's a pain to use smaller tanks, especially with a generator that size. So I see zero use for a multi-fuel genset unless you have a pretty specific situation. Either install a tank and gen permanently or get a portable gasoline one.

Honda is best but I'd put my money on a Champion 100111 if I were in the market for a 240v/50a gen. Some lesser gens recommend a 20 hour oil change interval, which would suck. I'm pretty sure the V-twin on that 100111 has a pressurized oil system and filter. I actually went with a Champion 100520, which is a 7000 watt inverter gen with no oil filter. But inverter gens don't run max speed all the time and I can live with changing oil every 50 hours as they recommend.

12kw is actually kinda large for a portable unit and kinda small for a fixed unit. It basically gives you a 50amp rv/welder/Tesla circuit but you're going to burn a lot of fuel. It's not the cost, it's the logistics. If you can transport, store, and use up 50+ gallons of gasoline then yea. But if a 7kw inverter gen meets your needs you can do the same job for 25 gallons. That's a lot less fucking around with red jugs.
