Sometimes all i want to do is help my local people with odd jobs and random shit. like a specialized handyman. i love collecting high quality tools for general purposes, even if i don't necessarily need them or use them often. what kind of specialized tools or machinery do you have or would consider buying as a way of making money on the side?

Remind me to never get "enhanced interrogated" by you.

As a serious answer, I'd add:

a soldering iron a 3~5# sledge duct tape bow saw floor jack

And a 12KW tri-fuel generator.

Any good recommendations?

ah yes, how could i forget duct tape.ha, hell, we can just throw out the rest of those tools, as long as we have a few rolls.

the floor jack is another one of those tools that you are very glad to have when fixing floors and what not.

good additions

I checked to make sure you had hammer in there.

Id add chop saw as well taps and dies. Those two can pay for themselves the first time you use them.

they sure do. youll never get the precision miter cut you want, as easy, without a rotating chop saw. i forgot about this one as well.

And, just in case, a miter box and backsaw.

Guns and bullets.

Buy exotic bit heads for screw drivers.

You would be surprised how much you steal with a security bit head.

Not quite what you're asking, but "buy it for life items" - speed queen commercial washers and driers, german garden tools, japanese cameras, American leather boots with goodyear welts, made in the USA hand tools

isnt every camera japanese? what, except polaroid?

Speed Queens are the best home purchase I have made. When purchased, dealer said "these are items that will be passed down to your grandchildren and still work good as new." Have had for 6 years and no problems at all.

I have had 2 other new sets, Maytag & Kenmore and both sets were torn apart to weld legs on and make firepits because they broke down. https://pic8.co/sh/e0XC38.jpg

If you are looking to make a little money with a side job think about buying a tractor with a front end loader and some attachments, bush hog, tiller, discs. You can go around your area tilling gardens for folks. The front end loader can be used for a ton of work! It may take a while to pay for itself but in the meantime you will be the hero of the community helping your neighbors around their place doing the things they can't do by hand! Just make sure you talk to them about specifics. My tractor was down once and a good neighbor came over to mow my small field, it was growing up into a briar patch! I was at work and my wife and neighbor wanted to surprise me. They sure did too! He mowed down my blueberry plants that I had growing in part of the field! I had planned on making that field into a food provider. Berries, an orchard, and a half acre of cultivated ginseng under cover. The blueberries were the beginning of my plans. It set me back quiet a bit. And I never did get around to making that ginseng patch!

All quality tools/machines will pay for themselves over time assuming they are properly maintained. There isn't a hard and fast list of things you can buy that will immediately save you money. All those tradesman trucks/boxes full of tools were purchased, or made, over time.

Espresso machine and nice grinder and milk frother. Haven’t bought a coffee in a year. I buy only organic espresso beans. Everyone tells me our coffees are the best they’ve had
