500 gal LP tank that runs a stove and a wood burning stove that I can exhaust to a window .
Don't buy branded "survival" food. Shit is a waste of money.
But rice and oats and keep them as dry as possible. Dehydrated meat is usually pretty disgusting, so if you need to add protein to your diet, I'd recommend canned fish, specifically sardines and anchovies. Some people find that disgusting, but they usually come packed in oil, which you can save and use to other dishes.
Dried cheese powder is another good thing to have, it is pretty shelf stable.
Just don't buy things branded as survival food.
Yeah , I am gonna stock up on beans and rice and different seasonings . Thanks fren
Szechuan Peppercorn goes very well with anything spicy, and I really think exotic spices will be almost as expensive as they were in the Middle Ages, when wars were fought over them, if shit truly hits the fan.
That stove exhaust sounds like a terrible idea, it'd be backdraft hell with the added risk of burning your house down.
I haven't looked at the window exhaust kit but that's what it was designed for . It came with the house I bought a year ago .
That's much better than a section of flex pipe I was picturing, those kits usually have brackets to run the pipe up the length of the house. Just make sure the cap is 2' above the roofline in a 10' diameter and you've got a spark arrestor.
