The Zombie is a creature without higher-brain function, moves with the crowd, and only seeks to consume, creating nothing in the process other than replicating more of it's own kind via consumption rather than procreation. I think an often overlooked aspect of Zombies is their replication. Zombies replicate. Any human bitten by a Zombie will inevitably turn into what is essentially a copy of it, physically they may differ, but the personality and motivation of any Zombie is essentially identical to any other Zombie. Humans are, generally speaking, very social animals that prefer to be comfortably together in a group. It is often said that it is better to be wrong in a group than it is to be right and alone.
