I understand your position - but I remain unconvinced. It seems to me, that if you can be convinced to commit suicide, you are still responsible for committing suicide. Death by virtue signal is even worse, and I would argue this is precisely what you suggest. Neither situation deserves pity, regardless. Weakness is weakness, and without culling weakness from the gene pool, you get the outcome you observe.
