I think you misunderstand the meaning of friend.
Friends are what I have a few hundred of. It is what you are when a girl isn't interested or breaks up with you. It's what you are when someone needs something for class or work. It is what you are when single moms hit the wall and turn to multilayered marketing. It is when people work for the alumni office and try to get you to go to a reunion. It is when people are trying to move, or seat fill an event.
I don't know where I would be without my friends.
