Two reasons: Because they’ve been taught and programmed to think that their life will be “ended“. It is portrayed as a burden and stressful, for example the common image of the screaming, inconsolable baby

But there is also the issue of men not being men anymore. I think women are scared to have a baby with somebody who is not going to assume the role of a provider, and ultimately leave her stranded to work two jobs to have to support them alone.
