We didn't hire illegals when I worked in the trades

When I was coming up I shoveled trenches. We asked the boss, "why don't you have those wetbacks outside Home Despot dig the trenches?"

"If you pay them by the hour they take all day and if you pay them by the foot they steal two inches"
