They can pay them a fraction of what they’d pay an American, that’s why.
Problem is, to be competitive on bids, you kind of have to do this…if you don’t, someone else who is will undercut you on the bids.
If it were made illegal to hire illegals across the board, it would remedy the problem..but then, all construction would cost more, too.
Not saying I like or agree with it, but that’s how things are at present moment.
