Will we pay based on Earth time or Mars time?

Will we pay based on Earth time or Mars time?

So I understand you upset with your payroll. But you have to understand that a Martian day is 24 hours and 37 minutes. If you'd like to correct this, we can contact ADP, which is our payroll processing company on Earth.

It will take about 5 to 20 minutes to send the complaint to Earth, depending on our current orbital position.

After that, it will take an additional three to five business days to be processed, and then 5 to 20 minutes for use to receive it, not to mention our three to five days of processing time.

On the bright side, you have enough money in your account for six days of oxygen credits left.

Let me know if I can help you in any other way, or if you need assistance with anything else at all.

We told you this was going to be a one way trip. You were also informed that you'd be completely dependent upon the company's resources for shelter, air, water, food and equipment. The cost of which are deducted from your pay, along with attendant reasonable service fees and processing charges.

Now if you have no further questions, I'll have security escort you back down into the mine. You're still on the clock and you're falling behind on your daily quota.

You actually took this and ran with it from a writing prompt! That's super cool. Science Fiction offers so many ways to proceed re: writing

I prefer to think of it as not Sci-Fi, or Science Fiction, but Bur-Fi, or Bureaucracy Fiction
