We have an ac unit outside, looks like this
https://gshaservices.com/product/comfort-13-carrier-air-conditioner/
So the idiots that put our siding on punctured the coolant line, and we ran it for a few days it was blowing kind of cold air but it never actually cooled upstairs. This was for about a week. Then we have them fix it, but it turns out it was still leaking because they came in again and they had to refill the unit again with R134 or whatever. It ran leaking again for another month. Our power bills went from 380kw to 1600kw for one month
Question is, how much damage is done to the unit running it with no coolant or to the point where it doesn't actually turn off?
