I'll go further:

"Homo Sapiens" the name modern taxonomy uses to describe "humanity" literally translates to "same wisdom and discernment"

Imagine aliens roll up to earth and se we call ourselves "same intelligence" which means we are either bugmen with a shared hive mind, we killed everyone that was of different intelligence, or we are so far in denial about our own nature and reality that we have woven propaganda into our fundamental scientific definitions. I wouldn't want to talk to us either.
