Why are things soooo fucked up ? Why are we still having " supply chain issues " still ? Prices are all crazy high ( I know print crazy amounts of money prices rise ) bur prices are way out of whack.

Supposedly there's a shortage of workers , but wages seem to have gone down , at least around here .

Will things ever get back to something resembling normal , ever ?

Imo the shortage of workers is from the mass retirements and simply there aren’t enough working whites anymore

[–] 13 pts

I think it is also people taking a hardline on the vaccine.

[–] 3 pts

Also people dying/getting incapacitated by the experimental injections

[–] 1 pt

Yeah, plus or minus several million.

No reason to work. Pay is shit taxes are high. Everyone wants a master's degree and 50 years of experience to make 30% over Wendy's entry level. I gave up and hustle side money on the Internet. I make more money doing that than working a real job.

[+] [deleted] 2 pts

What side hustles?

[–] 1 pt

Crypto DAOs. I have a good head for tokenomics so I just negotiate with random dudes starting platforms up and work with them... Usually for their shitcoin. I get. A heck of lot of their early coins and I hold them til there is a good time to dump.

[–] 0 pt

not “real” the word you want is ‘traditional’

[–] 0 pt

I feel like every other 20 something is working a side hustl we like Doordash, instacart, handyman, part time nanny etc.

[–] 1 pt

Yeah I'm quite a bit older than 20 and just run a bunch of crypto based stuff. Unreliable, fun, under the table. It's great. Fuck jobs.

[–] 4 pts

I think that a valid observation

My thoughts on the labor shortage:

Mass retirements did happen. I personally know multiple people who were in that age range that might have kept working but were uninterested in adapting to covid work.

Leaving industry en mass did happen. I personally know a few people who adapted to at home or some other form of work than the traditional model because they had no choice during lockdown. Some of them have no interest in going back.

Of course gibs happened too. At the lowest level people got handouts instead of going to their retail jobs. Some of those people had the integrity before to say "I might work a low skill job but I'll be damned if I an going on govt handouts." Well, lockdowns left them no choice and killed their pride.

>Well, lockdowns left them no choice and killed their pride.

More likely, they realized just how badly fucked the welfare system is when they finally opted and/or were forced to participate, and it was insta blackpill.

we had 60 people retire in the last two years that normally would have worked till they dropped dead, we're still short 50 people in my part of the company.

companies been offering $5k sing on bonus in the first check and starting people off with $35 an hour and it still doesnt get people. the white people we get do stick around but the other flavors of brown dont last

Wheres this at now and when can I stary

Also, they can find lots of warm bodies that want a paycheck, but they tend to be 100% incompetent, like they can't even work the cartoon cash register at McDonalds they are so incompetent. I'm seeing people under 25 years old working at jobs that they are absolutely incapable of performing. Their brains don't hold any data for any amount of time. You can't tell them more than one single thing at a time without confusing them completely. They only understand a couple thousand words of their own native language, where people used to be able to understand at least 80,000 English words. They can read a little bit, but they can't really write comprehensibly because no one has ever made them do so.

So it isn't the pay scale, or even the motivation of the people involved, it's the absolute incapability of most people under 25 years of age in the United States of America in 2022 to actually perform any useful tasks or functions whatsoever.

Make no mistake, a multifaceted and multi-front war has been declared upon us. The Great Reset is more than a meme. Read or listen to the open and readily accessible words of the perpetrators. The COVIDness and subsequent surrounding fallouts, chimpouts and brown horde floods were and are being implemented and used to ratchet down freedoms and funnel the collective down a narrower chute. Observe the societal verbiage, policies and changes that we are increasingly immersed in and being habituated to. A staggering consolidation of wealth is occuring as we type our screeds in the dark. In decades and centuries hence, this time will be recognized for what it is, provided the aforementioned perpetrators do not prevail to a degree of total domination and unfettered hegemony that affords them complete dystopic levels of control of the available narrative. There are paths forward, but there is no going back.

The globalists are orchestrating the world economy to prevent things from getting back to normal.

Their goal is the completely breakdown of Western civilization, and the death of hundreds of millions of human beings.

They and their minions have deliberately caused the current economic situation with the insane Covid mandates, and the election fraud of 2020 that placed the puppet, Joe Biden, in the White House. They don't want things fixed, they want the chaos to intensify.

Anyone involved with this communist "Green new deal" should be hanged and then drawn and quartered; unless they opt for two bullets directly to the back of the head.

I support what the Sri Lankans did when their economy collapsed. They burned down the homes of most of the politicians. Too bad the politicians weren't in the homes at the time. https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/10/asia/sri-lanka-protests-police-shoot-intl-hnk/index.html

[–] 1 pt

100% agree. Most politicians are filth but all leftists are.

[–] 2 pts

I am totally fine with that

They are trying to destroy the country, which in turn then destroys the world. People don't realize how much the US is involved in the worlds politics or economy.

The far left has succeeded with their mindless destruction so far because no action has been taken against them.

When they're unhappy, they dispatch burn loot murder, antifa and angry feminists. When we're unhappy we do nothing. It shows character but also weakness since we don't take these enemies of the state down.

What really pisses me off is how Biden just gets to shut down our energy sector.

Cheap ( fossil fuel ) energy is what's needed to have a functioning , prosperous ( for most , not just the top 2% ) economy .

All this economic ruin is self inflicted and doesn't have to be

Yeah lets butt fuck them and feed them to the Mexicans!

Do a 180. Pee your pants and find a free wifi somewhere and log into reddit

[–] 1 pt

Done and done, but wtf is reddit?

[–] 2 pts

No. They will not. At least not until they get a lot worse first. And even then maybe not for a very very long time.

[–] 2 pts

Prices are not coming down unless uncle sam unplugs the money generation machine. Expect inflation to double (again) between now and the election.

The worker shortage is due to the largest generation alive retiring. There simply aren't enough people for our economy to function the way it has been. Employers will have to accept automation and be willing to solve problems without the traditional "hire a person" solution.

They killed several million people with the vaccines working aged, currently employed people.

The death rates are off the charts, across the Western world.

Also, for every one they killed, they've probably crippled at least four more. These are people who are dying and have not died yet, or are merely permanently fucked for life, and will not be returning to the workforce in either case. They may not know it yet.

Then there are all of those non vaxed people who they fired, and still will not let return to work.

So yeah, 5 to 20% workforce shortages, economy wide, every industry, yeah, that fucks up the supply chains somewhat severely. Besides, demand isn't what it used to be either, since so many of the customers just died. Truth is, all of the economic projections are out the window.

They kicked over our ant hill.

[–] 2 pts

Where there are shortages there is control, where there is abundance, there is choice.

[–] 1 pt

Why are we still having " supply chain issues " still ?

China delivered for cheap, that killed competition. Now China can't deliver at the capacity they used to because of their zero-covid lockdowns and drought limiting hydropower.

Prices are all crazy high ( I know print crazy amounts of money prices rise ) bur prices are way out of whack.

Not just inflation, but also the supply chain issues limiting supply for some goods.

Supposedly there's a shortage of workers , but wages seem to have gone down

Lack of skilled workers due to not having trained them, lack of unskilled workers due to them getting enough benefits to not have to work.

Will things ever get back to something resembling normal , ever ?

They will, but the transition will be ugly.
