Like many metaphysical philosophical quandaries it's interesting to speculate on but practically worthless in most cases. A lot of these questions have no verifiable answers but allow for jewthink to legitimise evil behaviour (if everything is my imagination I can do anything I want because nobody else exists and the only thing that matters is my own personal pleasure as an example)
Practically though it's better to just accept what your senses tell you and what they can prove.
