Apparently, the author of the buggy pulseaudio has other buggy linux shit he's released and won't fix... blaming everyone else. He has flat out lied before, claiming PA was ready for release when it wasn't ready. He has also placed 100% blame on problems with his release on another driver (ALSA), which was only about 33.33% true... At one point PA daemon crashed so frequently that it was set to automatically restart, needed a special command to stop it. Matter of fact, it looks like that's still the default behavior.
