Is yours an NB505 coz that's what I have. Just some tips I barely remember. You'll have to press F12 to select USB boot to get it going the first time through. MrPancake here suggests upgrading to an SSD and I do to if you can. Also max out the ram, I think that's 2GB.
Few other glitches I ran into were the internal speaker is confused for the headphones so you have to go into the mixer to get the volume turned up. Open a command line and type in "alsamixer" from the prompt iirc. Mine never seems to remember this setting so I have to do it every time I want sound. Mine occasionally doesn't want to wake up from sleep mode. The battery meter never seems correct, but it's old and tired so that could be the problem there. Mint seems to support all the hardware including WiFi so that shouldn't be a problem. Overall it works good but it does choke occasionally. Keep in mind I'm still running an old version of mint that no longer receives support or updates. So a newer version may not encounter any of these issues other than the USB booting witch isn't mint's fault.
