50 hour weeks still gives you a full weekend at home with the kids. I'm sure your corporate job only gives you weekends and evenings with the kids too. The only thing you might have over them is breakfast time, so you don't see the kids every morning because you leave the house at 4:30. Kids wake up, eat, get dressed, and go to school but you are already gone, what life lesson did they miss out? Breakfast with dad? Big shit cook them pancakes and french toast on the weekends.
If you REALLY wanted to be home teaching your kids then homesteading / home schooling is the route you should take it is actually fucking easy if you aren't a lazy nigger, sell you suburb or city shithole where you are surrounded by subhumans and move to the middle of no where. If you are really at the point in life that you can start working less hours, then you should be able to sell the house you currently own buy 10-30 acres and build you a little home or put a nice double wide out there, you could do that right now for about 200k. 250k if you plan to actually farm and sell produce and meats at the farmers market.
My guess though is you are like most people, in debt up to your eyeballs and still looking to do less work. Your entire drive should be getting out of debt asap so you can do what I said above or retire.

I don't live outside my means and have a low mortgage, but a mortgage is still up to your eyes in debt anyway. We do homeschool because there is no way in fucking hell I'm sending my kids to a dick sucking academy, public schools are poison.
The correct answer for how many hours to work is the right amount, everyone has different needs at different times. I was working 50 HR weeks when my son was just a little over 1 to save up a deposit on my house, I got the house and regret nothing, that was the right decision at the time, but it's something I want to avoid.
Some people need to work more and some need to work less, I don't condone being a nigger at one end but it's not worth being a judenslave at the other.
Work less is perfect advice for some people and shit for others. working for the sake of working isn't a good mindset.
