If you buy the DVD/blu ray you can legally copy it digitally for yourself
I guess that would require some way to read it (external drive) and then some software... probably akin to ripping CD's back in the day?
You will need a DVD drive (internal or external) and Handbrake (free software) to copy DVD's to MP4. If you are on Linux (doesn't sound like you do) you simply install Handbrake; if you are on Windows, you will need to download libdvdcss-2.dll and place it into Program Files\HandBrake directory. If you are on Apple buy them from iTunes like a good goy. Edit: I think it might be version ...3.dll now.
Discs are better anyway, higher quality in video and sound also you don't lose data
disks degrade over time.
You can replace the digital copy, which is what new disks are pressed from. put it on long term storage media, multiple copies on multiple media types, access one at a time for backup purposes.
The program is called Handbrake. https://handbrake.fr/downloads.php
Yes. Handbrake is a great product for ripping DVDs.
Copyright laws are an unjust infringement on physical property rights. Download them anywhere.
pirate bay is the only place I really have torrented and several things I want are not available there
Surely you search within the torrent application, that will search PB and a host of others.
Give examples so people don't send you somewhere they are also unavailable.
don't be an idiot you can find sites online that have movies for free. YouTube has plenty of them sure, they're not going to be the latest marvel movie, like the new Thor fagot movie, bet you're pissed you can't download that.
I'm actually looking for Veggietales, with quality higher than VHS. The DVD's are available at their website, full retail price. I'd rather not have to pay full price to just go and rip the files.
Who pissed in your oatmeal?
Lol. nobody. but don't we have to at least pretend we're better than the Jew sharks and the capitalists. Allegedly PB solves a lot of problems but it's sad it has to be there in the first place. Maybe your library can get you what you need?
