When the story broke, CNN ran Michael Brown convenience store footage and purposefully only showed footage of him talking to the clerk and then cut to him leaving. (They literally cut out the part out where he was confronted by the clerk for taking cigars and pushed the clerk down out of the way.) They directly caused the "hands up don't shoot" riots the next night.
