I am trying to resell some foam panels and reselling them locally is not likely because it's a niche market, however they are worth $260. Whenever I look in to shipping them the cost is $160. The shipping container is 24"x24"x18" however the weight is only 10lb.

So I tested with reordering new foam panels -

https://www.amazon.com/Acoustic-Panels-Studio-Soundproofing-Wedge/dp/B07D98BNBB/

The box for these could be no smaller than 12"x12"x24". On USPS they want $70 to ship this box. On amazon they will ship it for free with a total cost of $36.

How the fuck is amazon shipping for such an incredibly low rate that we can not?

They cut a deal with the USPS. Instead of bringing antitrust proceedings against Amazon, our government is corrupt and wants you trading all of your goods through a monopoly that records everything and is controlled by you know who.

You are correct. Amazon shipping is subsidized by taxpayers. OP on the other hand gets to pay retail.

Dude I have $260 value worth of stuff and I CAN NOT GET RID OF THEM because USPS is FUCKING STEALING MONEY. It's literally a huge package worth NOTHING to me, no resale value because I can't fucking ship them. WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!!

If $70 to ship it is stealing, then surely you can deliver it yourself for far less. You don't have to pay a bunch of niggers and fund their retirement.

Well 250 dollar of foam says lots of napalm and a missing Amazon building

Something about UPS is off. Local area, a dozen of us worked remotely for a company and when we resign, we have to ship our company equipment (laptop, monitor, phone, keyboard) back to the office 4 states away.

One staff member shipped in February for $200, I shipped in March for $200, another shipped last week and it was $688 for exactly same items and weight

Gets worse ... items returned here, UPS said they couldn't find address, charged credit card $688 again, told her she had to pay another $688 to ship again. Equipment value is about $500, 10 year old laptop.

Ups lost multiple of our stuff, it was all insured by them. Everytime we requested the insurance money, they never paid it.

Because everytime I get asked by Amazon to do a survey, I bitch about what a shithole they've become allowing others to just "re-sell" something without adding any value to me, just cost. I lament about how they USED to just have the lowest price, but now I just use them for reviews, then buy from a local store for a much lower price and support a local business that pays their people livable wages and allows them time to do things like take a piss and eat a lunch.

Just resell through Amazon, let them pay your shipping.

Volume. Shippers give discounts based on your shipping volume. My buddy works at a warehouse and he can ship for $10 the same shit UPS quotes me for $50. Imagine how huge Amazon's account is.

Volume. If Amazon can stack a van full of shit they are only paying for gas and someone to drive.

Also volume in the sense that space for a shipping carrier is huge. You want 2 cu ft on the vehicle you are going to pay. They could fit several dozen envelopes in that same space.

Do you own a warehouse along a major shipping artery?

They ship literally hundreds of millions of packages a day. They play the strong arm with USPS, UPS & FedEx. They all compete for their business. Those shippers pass the loss down to the single package shipper. Get your buyer to pay for it if that's possible

Answer is in the bullet point list (part of it, at least):

Compress the packaging.High quality products.Open the package for quick recovery.6 to 12 hours.

Product Dimensions 11.02 x 11.02 x 3.94 inches

They're compressed very thin in the package and slowly expand over half a day.

The other part is probably that Amazon can more efficiently ship these to local warehouses (in bulk), then do the last mile using their own in-house service.

Craigslist. It's not a niche market, you are a shit salesman.

Don't feel bad, I am too.

Alternatively you can compress and roll it into a tube to reduce shipping.
