My elderly dad's(92) poa(my nephew, his grandson) dumped him in a nursing home without cause simply out of convenience. dad wants to go home to die poa wont let him. poa ran through checking acct and is now throwing everything away and getting it ready to sell. paying himself and his helper monkey. poa has $600000 cds of my dads that imo ought to be used to care for him at home (he's been on same farm since birth, was his grandparents) he built his house himself. i was caretaker to my dad and visit him everyday, and everyday he tells me he's tired, wants to go home to die. i'm so fucking mad right now, i don't understand how he can treat his grandfather this way. poa never visits doesn't attend to his needs at all. my dad is being tortured and stressing in a time that that shouldn't be. i wish i could be a mature adult and deal with this but i just want really bad luck to befall him (poa) i'm not even sure i have a question, i just needed to rant.

You fucked this up pretty bad, and im willing to bet you're just jealous that your nephew beat you to the punch on getting that money.

Seriously the only way your nephew would have been able to get POA before you is if you didn't really give a shit about your dad and/or you and him a bad relationship.

The court won't give a shit about him being stuck in a shitty home, as long as it's operating legally they're gonna think it's fine.

Unless you're dad was already suffering from documented cognitive issues or your uncle bragged about making the old guy sign the paperwork online you're not gonna win shit in court. Nevermind the fact that it'll take at least 6 months to even get a final hearing if you're lucky. Which you probably won't be because your uncle has access to enough money to drag you around in court for at least a year. Most old people don't last that long in a home anyway.

Just accept you're either a moron, or you don't actually give a shit about your dad and try to let it go.
