Hammer, tape, splint.

Whiskey is an optional step one.

I have a huge arthritic growth on the top of my left foot which ive had since 8th grade. Ive been thinking about having it removed but the kicker is i loose the foot for almost 6 months.

If you've had it this long, you'll probably never have it removed.

I agree. Im a manual labor kind of person and need my feet.

In that case you'll probably want a hammer with a really sharp chisel, a lot of antibiotic ointment, and daily wound care.

You will also need to not wear shoes or socks for a pretty significant amount of time.

Thats what the doc said he was going to do chisel and realign the metacarples or whatever they're called.

Get the surgery done before you get old unless you are already old.

I am already old-ish

Honestly stretching them and being conscious of them barefooted

Is there like a spacer i could buy to hold them straight. Kind of like braces?

[–] 0 pt

Yes, there are toe spacers made to help realign them.

It's hard to fix once it's happened and it's probably due more to bunion growth. Once they are shifted surgery or religiously stretching and standing on them splayed to slowly shift them is the only real way. There may be spacers idk

Yes is correct. Barefoot as often as possible and try to splay your toes as wide as you can: standing and walking. Exercise and develop the muscles that spread your toes apart.

You know what really messed me up was wearing gortex shoes. They gave my feet nowhere to go. Towards the end of wearing gortex my feet would throb like crazy.

The bunions arent as bad as they were years ago. I used to get callouses on them but havent for years.

there is a whole discipline of doctors that practice this shit. They are call Padirotis.

You spell like a retard. And yes i know that. My cousin is one and he is an out of control coke head.

Toe spacers. Soft gel like material. Sort of look like the disposable ones chicks use to space their toes when they paint them. Also, as everyone else said, go barefooted as often as possible and practice moving your little toe. It took a while, but I can move my small toe side to side without moving the others.

I do go barefoot inside my camper. I won't walk around like those dirty hippie fucks that have dirty assholes and smell like crotch funk, oh wait that's me, never mind. but no I won't walk around outside without shoee. I've given up on a whole barefoot hiking barefoot walking thing. After putting a cactus spine through my foot, dried Holly leaf through my foot, and burned the whole bottom of my foot walking on sandstone in Utah I'm good.
