Got a pair of Red Wings now. They are pretty good. Seem to be taking a while to break in. Before that I got a pair of Vasques. Those are very comfortable. Long time ago I got a pair of soft leather Doc Martins. Those were great till the soles wore out.

I have the Thorogood 8" Military Work Boot.

It's one of the most comfortable things I wear. And the soles have shown barely any wear.

The Limmer company has Bavarian origins.

In 1892 Albert Weinbrenner opened a cobblery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin aiming to serve those in the “jobbing” trades. That was how Thorogood started.

Germans are excellent cobblers

For fire and forestry, nothing is better than Nick's. For winter packs, lineman boots, or calks, Hoffman.
