hopefully its california. and if it is, the democrats can never win another election.
It wont happen with any state. There is only one party controlling everything. The appearance of conflict is useful. But i doubt they will find it useful to actually have any states leave the union and so i doubt it will happen.
They don't have to leave the union to reclaim state power. I think a lot of states are going through a revelation of how much power they wrongly gave up to the federal government, highlighted by covid stuff, and reinforced by the west virginia vs EPA decision

i could see north california along with parts of oregon and washington breaking away, into an idea thats been put forth called greater idaho. if that happens i could definitely see a jaded left coast breaking away into what im sure they think would be a communist utopia
No Commiefornia pussed out in 2012 when they were talking succession because their elite realized they would have no source of revenue
