We, the few, see it coming fast & furious... to the extent we are able, we prepare.

Vast majorities, even those who'd be useful in the aftermath, don't see it.

I prefer the term break up. Sooner or later, a state is going to decide to secede, and unless we have a repeat of the American Civil War, that will break the US apart. But the state won't actually go anywhere, it will still be right where we left it, so it will continue to trade with the other states and interact with them. The break up will be a purely political change. DC will not longer have the upper hand. I expect the first secession state to be followed by others fairly quickly. America will become what arguably it should have been all along, a collection of smaller independent political entities.

hopefully its california. and if it is, the democrats can never win another election.

[–] 1 pt

It wont happen with any state. There is only one party controlling everything. The appearance of conflict is useful. But i doubt they will find it useful to actually have any states leave the union and so i doubt it will happen.

[–] 0 pt

They don't have to leave the union to reclaim state power. I think a lot of states are going through a revelation of how much power they wrongly gave up to the federal government, highlighted by covid stuff, and reinforced by the west virginia vs EPA decision

i could see north california along with parts of oregon and washington breaking away, into an idea thats been put forth called greater idaho. if that happens i could definitely see a jaded left coast breaking away into what im sure they think would be a communist utopia

No Commiefornia pussed out in 2012 when they were talking succession because their elite realized they would have no source of revenue

To follow your example, I see division lines running N-S this time and potentially two.

A few of us talk at length about prepping, needs, land, water. We have food, guns, and ammo. We are working on a plot large enough for our families….

Worst case, nothing happens and we’ve got a cool camping spot. If SHTF, though, we’ll have an underground bunker capable of sustaining us for as long as we need

I'm going to politely challenge your thinking. Apologies in advance for being long winded ... this is a topic I've personally spent many hours on.

We are working on a plot large enough for our families….
(from your comment below): Looking at locations that don’t require major thoroughfares within a reasonable distance. Travel by night using nvis.

You are mixing both pre-collapse and post-collapse thinking. This is dangerous.

Let's say I own a farm. I know my neighbors back 2-3 generations. They are good folk and we've got each other's backs. Sarah, down the road, sat by my sick wife for 2 weeks so I could run the farm. John, up the road, helped me fix a broken water pipe at 3AM on Christmas day. We will go to the wall for each other.

Let's say some city folk (you) buy some land to go shoot their guns and go camping. Or so they say. Maybe they are cooking meth, I don't really know. Times are good, so I don't really care. They come every few weekends, but they are city folk - they will always be strangers. They don't go to the local church, they aren't part of the community.

Shit hits the fan. No more police, no more 911. Cities are burning. Lots of strangers are roaming the countryside. Everyone is jumpy. Some teenager tries to steal some of John's tools from his barn. John shoots the would be thief. We help bury the body without being asked twice. It's only John's word that the teenager was a thief, but that's good enough for everyone. Maybe that teenager was just trying to track down his dog that got away. But, we are going to take John's word for it.

Oh, and he was your nephew. Now we've a problem on our hands. Rumor is, you guys are still doing meth. Who knows, likely not true, but I'm not going to risk my life to disprove a rumor. At a minimum, I'm not going to help you with anything. Worst case, it becomes a shoot on sight situation. We have lots of shovels and no-one is going to be looking for your body any time soon.

Point being - you can't live thru a major collapse without either (a) Hollywood style walled compound or (b) a community of trusted neighbors. You won't be able to create that after a collapse. Strangers moving after a collapse will always be seen with distrust.

The above story is fiction, but not too far from the truth for me. 15 years ago, I bought some land with similar ideas. I'm the city folk in that story. I still own the land and the neighbors are good people, but I'll always be an outsider. I've sense gotten wiser and have moved to a place that I could create my own community. Now, where I'm at is where I'd be if we face a system wide collapse.

how you gonna get there when SHTF?

that doesn't sound like the best plan to me

We, the few, see it coming fast & furious.

Yes, pick a year, 2025, 2024, 2023, or even a month. December. November.

it's coming.

Tonight would be ok with me.

I have a friend who sees it. He knows we're fucked. He thinks Biden is a traitor. He knows.

They plan on many/most of us being dead by the time it really kicks off.

No. The trend is towards larger entities, not smaller.

[–] 1 pt

Shtf, no food or crazy expensive coming soon . Fed and/or Brandon will come out with FedCoin to "save the day" but you gotta offer incense and be triple vaxxed to get it. All part of the plan

what would happen with the military bases and nukes?

[–] 0 pt

That's the real question, isn't it? Did you read Turner Diaries?

[–] 1 pt

I'll answer your question if you answer mine.

[–] 0 pt

Rebels will only need control of a few nukes.

Military bases won't be useful after the first few months

The only state I can see seceding on its own would be Florida. I can't see Texas seceding anymore. There are a handful of smaller red states that could secede but I think a preceding step would be for these states to band together against the federal government.

[–] 0 pt

seceding takes action, I could see de facto dissolution by non participation mainly because people have short memories and hardly know how anything works.

[–] 1 pt

race mixing. That is all...
