I see it somewhat often in my semi-woke midwestern suburban town. The chick that lives across from me does better edges than her man. What happened?

I mow grass 3 days a week, I don't have to but I like mowing.

Same with my wife lol.

I see alot of woman do it where I live.

Yep, not uncommon at all here in south Texas. Great excercise.

[–] 1 pt

Is that some sort of double entendre?

[–] 2 pts

Nope not at all. I really like to mow. I like being in the sun, and driving up and down hills. I aways see deers and wildlife, its so fun.

My wife does it when I don't get to it.

Women wanted to throw traditional gender roles out the window. She deserves 2 black eyes if she doesn't mow the lawn.

"I really deserve 2 black guys, my husband said so"

It is at my house. My neighbor, dude who managed the Texaco plant, once came over as she was mowing and tried to castigate and browbeat me to get off my ass and go do it for her. I asked: "Why? She likes to do it and I don't."

I do mine, but the young gal across the road does hers. They have a baby, so it's prolly more of a workout thing for her. They have a walk- behind, and she drives that F'n mower like a two man sled. I watch from my zero turn.

I wouldn't characterize it as customary, but it happens. My wife won't get near any power tool besides a vacuum and a hair dryer.

"Her man" is busy changing diapers, doing laundry and ironing.

[–] 2 pts

What's wrong with that?

[–] 0 pt

Not a thing.

Are you still in the Ozarks?

My wife can't iron worth shit. All of her clothing is form fitting polyester/nylon/spandex, so she's never had to learn how to iron.

And I'm not willing to sacrifice my nice shirts just to make a point.

[–] 1 pt

Is she incapable of learning?

Not that I give a fuck who irons your shirts but your logic does have a huge flaw. It's 3 min worth of explanation to cover all the details.

While I think it takes more than 3 minutes to learn how to iron a man's dress shirt, I certainly tried in the past and she just failed miserably. It might as well be magic to her. I don't get it because she's great with cooking, cleaning, getting any stain out, sewing, etc. But I guess no one ever taught her how to iron well, and at this point she'd be too embarrassed to ask for help since ironing should be her department.

Of course the kids weren't any better to teach. But they seem to be allergic to learning life skills that they wouldn't use every day. Maybe I'm just a shitty teacher, idk.

Riding mower on large flat areas? Perhaps. Hills and/or pushmowers? No.

Possibly some basic weedwacker around the perimeter of large structures, but nothing detailed.

There are a lot of dead husbands in my area.

Amish women mow the grass

[–] 0 pt

Yeah, because that's mundane house work compared to what the men are doing.

[–] 1 pt

A lot like doing it in my area with electric mowers that are easier to handle.

... My female roommate just bought one since our male roommate sucks at mowing. Lol.
