It's just a table top game. Orchestrated by a game keeper who creates or adheres to the rules of the game world. The game is usually curated to what the players like. Solving puzzles, turn based combat or role play. Decisions and observations are made based on a player's character and all the players usually try to work together to face some bad guy at the end. In truth, it's a game that is the same every week. You roll dice, make jokes, order pizza and drink beer. If you are able to get into a good group of people it can be a blast. If not, its a wokists trans fag wet dream. So tread carefully. I played as a youth and now I run a game for my niece and nephew. It works well to help develop deductive reasoning, problem solving and creativity. It spurs imagination, develops theater of the mind and keeps them off of screens and it gives my whole family a chance to sit down and all play a game together. On a personal side, I created our game for the kids over the christmas of 2019. Little did we know that it was going to be a morale saver as the lockdowns and restrictions of the pandemic forced the kids and all of us in the family from "civil" society. The kids were 8 and 5 at the time and playing allowed for us to have a bit of an escape from the bullshit that was happening everywhere.
