They get rewarded for saying the "right" things and down voted to hell and banned if they don't. The accounts that aren't bots are lonely people craving community and validation, so even if they don't completely agree, they parrot Reddit opinions so they don't become more alone and outcast than they already are.
Any dangerous free independent thought gets the user mod banned.
Any out of hive mind, free independent thought gets peer shamed.

You go on youtube comments and you can always spot a predditor out in the wild. The same smug copy pasted stupid shit comments. Then when exposed they always respond with anyone of a hundred responses that all boil down to one meaning. "yeah well you are ugly"
