I keep hitting it when I type for some reason now, it's right below the right shift key on my board. When I hit it I can't just move the cursor in front of it and delete it, I have to back space everything I type after hitting it. WHY?!?!?!?! What is it, what's it for?
How do I turn it off?

I don't know, I can't even see it actually. I get the "Character not found" square.
