Vehicle inspection laws are necessary but over done. Why the fuck does an automatic transmission vehicle fail inspection if the parking break doesnt hold under partial throttle. I had a truck in near perfect condition get rejected once because the parking break let it creep foward when the tech gave it gas. Total bullshit. I tightened the cable, got it passed on reinspection then loosened the cable since it was now too tight and made drag on the rear wheels. I found a different shop next time.
