Quick easy simple ask Poal post. I just have always heard that King Arthur was a sort of filler fiction. Apparently during that time in England not was much known or recorded. Why is that and was it just a peaceful slow time with nothing exciting. It just seems maybe something is hiding in plain site. Just curious is all and I hope y'all niggers have a good Weekend. Thanks

What was happening was the conquest of (most of) Britain by the Saxons and Angles. England ("Angleland") came into existence through this invasion. Arthur was originally a mythical (possibly - but not certainly - based on a real person) Brythonic king who temporarily drove back the Saxons. But most of the stories associated with him are either later innovations or old but originally unrelated myths that were reworked to benefit from the popularity of Arthurian literature in the High Middle Ages. Arthur was portrayed as a late medieval knight which - if he existed at all - he surely was not.

There's little written history (or any written material at all) from Western Europe in that period (which is why it's called a Dark Age). What we do have was mostly written by monks and mainly concerned with religious subjects like the lives of saints.

Very well put and explained and I do remember being told about the Monks of the Dark Ages who'm recorded much of everything as well as the Gothic Cathedrals which to me are stunning.

Artur was a Breton warlord who fought abd defeated the Saxons expansion westward in gwyffid. That's probably where it came from

It's odd hearing of the Anglos and Saxons warring as I'm used to the term WASP or White Anglo Saxon Protestant or just Anglo Saxon in general. I love history so thanks for educating me a bit. I don't know what to think considering they are both White though. Team Anglo ir Team Saxon. Not really that surprising to be honest because even the Scythians warred with Brothers, Uncles, Cousins etc...it was part of who they were and they fought to die in battle. It was an honor of such to die in battle and have Valkyries take you to Valhalla. Man I love learning about Ancient History.

Angles and Saxons were both invaders. Britons are the Celts who inhabited Britain and eventually became different peoples over time. The history of England is longer than you can imagine. The celts were ALSO invaders who took the land from the indigenous ancient Britton population. Druids haven't been a thing since then.

After the ice age there was a land bridge. Original Bretons came over and settled. This is stone henge and druids and hill chalks and shit.

Then the cells came over like idk 4k years ago or somethin and conquered and assimilated becoming the "brythonic" peoples we have history and accounts for. That kept going for a while until rome came and conquered and assimilated, making latin britain a thing. In the 500s after Roman influence was gone the angles and the Saxons and the jutes invaded from Germany and Denmark area, settling and conquering and assimilating. This is the Anglo Saxon Era from 500 to 800 or so. Theb the Norse invasions happened. The danelaw and such. A couple jundred years later the Norman's, frenchified Norse decided england looked pretty sweet came over and Billy the conq brought us all the lovely ideas that currently fuck our world like law as profit and royal allowance to live and prosper.

Check out the podcast history of England by David Crowther. ITS a good start.

The Celts were awesome as well... their history and haplogroups could be traced back to Corded Ware Culture such as the Tochareans of Eurasia as well as parts of AE. I understand Ancient History as well as Anthropology really well having sperged out for decades studying everything from genetics to etymology. Though I did not know much of what you just told me so I do appreciate the information.

Read Geoffrey of Monmouth. Arthur was a real king from ad 521.

Geoffrey of Monmouth was the guy who wrote the original Arthur tale. As far as I know, noting he wrote is considered to be actual history. It's like watching Braveheart for information about the Battle of Stirling.

This is correct. We know he existed. We don't know much about him, his rule, or his kingdom.

Interesting I will look into it. Thank you.

Some think he was in Wales

Welsh is the original Brithonic language. English is a Germanic language.

Wales is very interesting especially since White people have no "culture". Reminds me of the Basque and Sami People or Sorbians amongst many many others. Honestly White people are incredible. "Fellow White people are demons though.
