I am married with kids but when I was in the dating pool, I wanted a guy who had productive hobbies and was not too interested in video games or tv. I knew wayyyy too many guys who were just obsessed with gaming/tv and it was a huge turnoff. A guy who knows how to fix things was important to me as my dad was always DIY'ing things and that was such a valuable skill.

And I also stayed far away from man-whores. I know a lot of ladies are attracted to the fuckable Chad or whatever, but I grew up with a good dad and brothers and was not interested in short term male attention. I honestly thought those guys carried diseases.

I also looked for signs that he had his shit together. It seems small, but I knew my husband was the one after I saw how he folded his shirts Marie Kondo style (before that was a thing). If he had his laundry together, I knew other areas of life would also be cared for with diligence and organization.

I loved that he played guitar too and wasn't partying hard like everyone else.
