All that time living in Africa, several species of large and potentially docile animals to domesticate for food or beasts of burden and niggers did nothing.

In this case they get a pass, hippos kill more people than any other animal on the planet. Imagine a creature as aggressive as a bull and about 4 times the size and they seem docile in the water until they charge and Gore and flatten you.

Yes, Hippos are territorial, and aggressive. But, domesticated cows did not start out as all placid. Check out Aurochs, they were significantly bigger than modern cows. Domestication, and selection for favorable characteristics evolved them into the myriad varieties of domesticated cattle. Similar happens with vegetables, carrots used to be a woody bitter root, selective breeding has transformed them into sweet and crunchy. This is what intelligent people do, primarily white people.

Hippos wouldn't have been safe in a domestic environment.

Everything you said plus they're basically solid muscle covered by a thick hide.

If white people inhabited africa there would absolutely be domesticated hippos, lions and tigers.

There wouldn't be any left, maybe in zoos and nature preserves but it would have just been wolves and lions all over again.

Big game lived in Europe a long time ago too, the violent animals were poached and slaughtered to protect villages. Hippos would be extinct if whites inhabited 'frica Back then when you would find the carcas of your child in the jaws of a lion you wouldn't give a shit about preserving those 'noble' beasts you would gather a band and slaughter every single one of them you could find and make sport of it.

Pretty sure more of them get eaten by hippos than tigers or lions.

That's because they keep stealing the hippos' watermelons.
