It used to be that in the itunes country selection page there was a flag next to each country. About a year ago they removed the flags. Without the flags the existing UI makes no sense. Any insight as to why they are so afraid of national flags? Could it be that China asked them to remove the flag next to Taiwan and this is their way if complying?

Would it really make the UI better if that blue and white (((star))) flag was beside each country name? It would seem confusing to see that one flag repeated over and over.
