Yes, but actually no because physics, so I would not trust anyone beside myself to secure it properly.
But to digress; I would use a person-lift instead. If the terrain were too uneven (or inaccessible) I would make damn sure the ladder would be properly secured instead - even if it means additional screw holes in the wall; a small price to pay for keeping my libms.

I agree. Sometimes though people don't like the best solution and choose not to act altogether instead of putting in the effort.
