Stealth record their blackmail scheme. If in a state that requires 2 party consent to record, just have the conversation in a public setting and do the 'no expectation of privacy' argument.

Stealth record their blackmail scheme.

Hurt their legitimacy, yes, excellent.

Every militia in existence should make this their full time job. Just entrapping and suing the secret police.

Directly go after the credibility, public support, and funding of the regime's front-line enforcers.

Keep your mouth shut and trust no one.

If I had to guess what extremists would do, I'd tell regime secret police that they would do good to assume anything and everything told to them, including apparently harmless details, are designed to lead them into harms way. The other thing thing would be to assume, no matter how good your cover, that the extremists know who you are and can see you coming from a mile away.

Tell them you are putting together a crew for a big heist and you want them to join, but they have to do something illegal first to prove their loyalty. I'm not sure if you would get in trouble if they could prove you told them to do it.

Not tell them anything? IDK, you question their questioning, make it known that you're suspicious of them. Once their cover is blown people tend to panic and try to cover their tracks including reporting to their handlers.

Someone that you know is probing you for information you might have so they can get an advantage on you but you want to turn the tables. Get them in trouble for going to the police and wasting their time.

People don't get in trouble for wasting police's time. Police loves getting poinless calls and loves to show up when no crime has been committed (or even alledged) because it gives them the chance to escalate and use their power. They are powerless otherwise.
