I was thinking of buying these for my door speakers in my truck. Is alpine still the best for mid-range priced speakers? I know I'll need an amp. I'll have the guys that install them help me choose an amp to make sure they are pushed correctly.

How many channels are you running? Do you have a Sub?

If you just add those speakers and Cerwin-Vega VPAS10 10" 2Ω 550W Max / 200W RMS Powered Active Subwoofer Enclosure + Bass Knob https://a.co/aAbM5RJ

I found that even a basic head unit sounds pretty damn good.

In one of my older jeeps I am running that combo, and it's surprisingly loud and great sounding off the 17Wx4 rms Kenwood head unit. Becuase the bass is what takes the power, I didn't need anything more for that one.

No intentions of installing a sub anytime soon. I'm not running any channels atm. my stock speakers are fucked. my door drains got clogged and flooded my doors. The stock head unit still works. But im switching that out, too for an in dash screen

Ok, so if you aren't doing spl power etc, I would swap the speaker out and see if you even need an amp. If you do, shoot for an ab amp , as they sound the cleanest.

Most bang for the buck comes from speaker sensitivity and low ohms.

The dash I'm going to most likely buy has a built-in internal amp (16 watts RMS CTA-2006/50 peak x 4 channels)

Oh, and that cerwin vega sub amp combo is super small but has a really great output. Shockingly so.
