The original pyle drivers hit hard, and were super sensitive. 200wrms max but super efficient and hit hard and loud for the Era.
Harmon bought them, and they live on today.
The pyle you see to day is a pile of .... though thier blue wave in lower powered non spl type application are decent for the price if you run them free air (IB) becuase they need a huge , and I mean huge, box otherwise.
Well I might have to find a old set slightly uses and in excellent condition to try them out. For now I'll build my trucks tone around recoil products. I feel companies like focal Harmon bose jl have amazing product but at some of well most of the price points it's beyond ridiculous. I can't see spending 5k for 4 tweets 8 2 ways and 2 subs lol. I got quality surely but shouldn't require a years wages either.
My current setup is decent totally. I do need to get a line converter with the level feature. It adds removed bass from factory systems that limit the bass after what 30% percent volume.
Also need my sub on a low and sub sonic filter and my doors well recoils little filter box does a good job. I will say with out an amp for the tweets recoil builds you will get decent tone but not loud. Truck came stock with tweets on apillar and are way louder but are right by face to. Rear is mostly mid and lower bass so I'll add tweets in rear when I order 2 sets of components for rear and a set for up front. Love my bass but I like to focus on being able to hear all the words and instruments not just drums and bass guitar lol. So far I'm guessing I'll get about 120-130db in truck with adding 2 tweets 4 more components replacing the 2 pyles with a set of components and amplify the doors and adding my second skar sub. I'll have the nice bass you can feel but not so much it hurts and I'll be able to hear the concert while ripping the dirtbike track.
