(((Hollywood))) decried the Jock and Cheerleader archetype as symbols of toxic whiteness. Arguably the two categories of what one might term as young Aryan "role models" were constantly ragged on as unintelligent, shallow, and generally undesirable people not to be aspired to. Compare them to the dark haired, comparably shorter, artistically-driven outcasts who were nominally portrayed as long suffering victims of the Jock and his female counterpart. It always seemed a little sus to me.
