Afaik, males counterclockwise and females clockwise.

I believe it's counterclockwise in the southern hemisphere...

Military taught me to left side to right and your gig line better not be off.

I knew a guy who would wear his belt one way for half the day, then switch it for the rest of the day. "Makes it wear evenly, so you don't get that bend in it."

I just look for the bend each day when I put it on and flip it so the ass-crown is up.

It ain't like the shootin' irons are gonna hold themselves up.

Exactly. You aren't going to thread the buckle-end through the loops, and if you're right-handed it's easier to thread the buckle when it's on the left. Therefore you thread the non-buckle end counter-clockwise.

In the morning when I'm getting ready, I carefully inspect the belt to see which way it's beginning to turn and I put the belt on cc or ccw so it turns in the opposite direction.

Depends on wether I'm appendix or using mag carrier.

No answers are correct. Correct is as follows...

The way that makes it crown up in back. If you wear it the same way every time it will get bent into a permanent crown, down at your ass crack and up at your hips. This is more noticable the fatter you are. But even if you're fit you need to occasionally flip your belt over to keep it straight. A straight belt looks better.

Depends on which way is up.

Depends on the belt.

My leather work belt, counter clockwise. My nylon gun belt, depends how I'm carrying.

Belt direction should be determined by the handedness of the wearer and the items on the belt. Good leather belts are handmade in your preferred direction.

I always make a Möbius Strip out of it.
