ZeroHedge used to be my goto strictly for reading, not participating.

Lately though it has turned into a lot of shit, hyperbole, and doommongering. If I wanted that I'd read my own posts.

Definitely an upstream source, yes.

I think they try the same thing with 4chan and the chans, but it's hit or miss. It still feels like a new platform or space could open up at any moment that completely subverts these control methods.

Gateways mostly a public thermometer.

I don't think the 'dead internet theory' is so much true, as it is becoming truer with time.
