Everything even remotely mainstream is pozzed QBoomers. Everything fringe is us, right on down the cliff to the chans.

In order of what I read: Zerohedge for insider ball and speculation (why synthesize when you can metasynthezie from people smarter than yourself?) Aces of spades (back before it became a lot of pablum and fucking slice-of-life posts about dogs). Citizen free press for bulk input Revolver.news and Summit.news for more mainstream inputs The Gateway Pundit to try and understand what the splinter-faction that broke away from the neocons, is trying to push.

Also have a few substacks that I keep an eye on, though I'm not 100% sure if the platform is worth it yet. Lot of promising real journalists and analysts there though.

There's something unusual about CFP. Its hard to convey, but CFP isn't an aggregator, it's an opinion generator. Kane is a nasty, spiteful, piece of work, but he's also uncommonly connected and funded. I still visit the site on occasion because there are so few sources left, but CFP should be treated with the utmost caution. The links might be safe, but the comments, commentary, and analytics should all be blocked if at all possible.

Definitely an upstream source, yes.

I think they try the same thing with 4chan and the chans, but it's hit or miss. It still feels like a new platform or space could open up at any moment that completely subverts these control methods.

Gateways mostly a public thermometer.

I don't think the 'dead internet theory' is so much true, as it is becoming truer with time.
